Requirements Engineering

We are a Software-Dependent Society because most human activities and relationships are conditioned or depend almost exclusively on this technological development. However, the procedures with which the software is developed have not yet overcome the so-called software crisis of the 1960s and, therefore, this technological product continues to be delivered with deficiencies in quality, security, and reliability. This fact generates problems in organizations and society, because commercial decisions, investments, and health procedures, among others, do not always offer the expected results, and in many cases result in considerable economic losses or human lives. This book identifies this problem and presents several research products in which the authors develop various proposals and model structures, aimed at helping to solve the problem of quality and reliability of Requirements Engineering.
