The writers Edison Vanegas and Yoni Rendón present several events to us as witnessed by two police officers from the Search Bloc during the hunt for Escobar that led to his death. They also fill us in on details about the way intelligence operations and police actions against several members of the Medellín Cartel were really carried out.
The Search Bloc was a joint effort involving the special forces of the Colombian Police and the DEA (Drug Enforcement Administration) whose mission was to capture Escobar and his criminal partners dead or alive.
With this publication, the authors pay a particular tribute to the more than 500 police officers murdered by Medellín Cartel hitmen and to those who formed the Search Bloc, who tracked and bravely confronted the deadly criminal organization led by Escobar.
