The rapid technological transformation that the contemporary world is undergoing has impacted all levels of the education system, creating new challenges and opportunities for teaching and learning processes. This reality motivated the creation of this book, which aims to explore how artificial intelligence can be effectively integrated into the teaching of English, a key communication skill in 21st century academic and professional training.
The research arose from a professional and pedagogical concern: is it possible for AI to not only complement but also transform English language teaching in diverse educational contexts? What tools, strategies, and teaching principles can guide this transformation? How can we ensure an ethical, personalized, and meaningful approach for students in AI mediated environments?
The main objective was to systematically analyze the potential of AI as a pedagogical resource, as well as its impact on personalized learning, automated assessment, language skills development, and student motivation through gamification. Throughout eight chapters, the work was constructed from an academic approach that combines theoretical review, case analysis, and exploration of technological tools applied to real classroom contexts.
This book does not aim to replace teaching, but rather to strengthen it from a critical, reflective, and technologically up to date perspective. It is hoped that the findings presented here will contribute to enriching the pedagogical debate and open up new lines of research on foreign language teaching supported by artificial intelligence
