Nine years ago, Jericho Keyes was taken to Jaylen Academy, a high-tech military school in which every firstborn of the kingdom must be trained to become a soldier to fight Phantoms, a race of dreadful monsters that cannot be defeated by normal means. On top of that, since the day he was taken, he can see and hear two small creatures that whisper to him to advise or mock him, Arma and Gedon, and there’s a necklace with a silver crystal on his neck that nobody else can see, and he can’t take off.
